Defying Destiny Launches and Here’s My Writer’s Tip!

Hi, y’all, today is my day to share a writer’s tip but it’s also the day that Defying Destiny launches.  Yay!

So, I’m sharing a writer’s tip and telling you about my new book at the same time.

Defying Destiny is the last book in my Divine Destiny Chronicles.  It’s a prequel to Hesitant Heroes and Relentless Rebels so it can be read first or as a standalone.

BTW, Hesitant Heroes and Relentless Rebels are on sale on Kindle for .99 cents until October 6!

Defying Destiny is the story of Sierra Stone and Hunter Wallis.  Hunter and his evil sister River are conquering the world in 2042.  Sierra and her Irish rebels plan to stop them.

What happens when these forces come face to face?  River Wallis wants to kill Sierra and Hunter wants to win her heart.  This causes a lot of excitement and romance.

Now for my writers’ tip.

If you don’t enjoy the writing process why write at all?

Hesitant Heroes was published by Anaiah Press in September 2021, Relentless Rebels in March 2022 and Defying Destiny in October 2022.

I am very grateful to God for opening the doors at Anaiah Press and giving me this opportunity to get the books in print.

I couldn’t have self-published because I’m technologically challenged, and my mother’s health has put a weight on me.

My mother lives with me and she has Parkinson’s disease. During this year her Parkinson’s has worsened and in May she fell and broke her hip.

Needless to say, my excitement with getting the books published has been tempered greatly.  I’ve had to push myself to post about the books and advertise them.

That brings me back to the Tip.

ENJOY THE PROCESS

Writing these books and sending them through my critique group was fun.  I enjoy getting a book idea, developing characters, and struggling through the first draft.

I realize now that I had more fun in the process of writing than I’ve had in the process of publishing.

So, wherever you are in your writing journey – beginner, multi-published, or in between – ENJOY THE PROCESS.

I’m looking forward to jumping back into my critique group with my middle-grade novel (Lord willing).

I’m ready to relax and enjoy writing again.
