The Water Fight Professional MadLib

Happy July everyone!! As we continue reading The Water Fight Professional, by Angela Ruth Strong, I thought a little fun was in order. I took the back cover copy from the book and made it into a MadLib. Grab a friend or a kid near you, and get them to play along. Don’t show them the full MadLib. Ask them to give you a noun, adjective, or whatever the blank needs. When all the blanks are filled out, read their story back to them. Hopefully, hilarity will ensue!

Grammar reminders:

Adjectives describe something (Orange, soft, adorable)

Adverbs describe action (Quickly, bravely, cheerfully)

Noun is a person, place, or thing (Tree, house, kid)

Verb is an action (Run, kick, tell)

Here we go:

I, ___________[First Name] Michaels, am a __________[game or activity] Professional.

Basically this means that _________[plural noun] pay me to __________[verb] other people. But my super-competitive ___________[noun] is __________[verb] all the fun out of summer. All because I made a __________ [adjective] bet with him.

Winning the bet wouldn’t be so hard if I didn’t have three _________[adjective] problems:

  1. My __________[adjective] mother who feels the need to ___________ [verb] every moment of summer.
  2. A surfer-dude ___________[job] who can’t keep ____________[plural noun] straight.
  3. The __________[adjective] neighbor ______________[noun] who all my friends have a crush on.

If I lose …_______________[exclamation], I can’t even tell you what I’d have to do. I’d rather lick a ___________[animal].

Come on back to the blog or Facebook and let us know how your MadLib turned out. We’d love to see them. Have a great day.
