Crave an Unputdownable Book? Check This Out

Clean teen book recommendation of the week: A Noble Masquerade.

I love Pride and Prejudice and my fair share of regency TV shows, but I’ve never read a newer released regency. When my Instagram friend, @brenyandbooks, raved about how A Noble Masquerade by Kristi Ann Hunter needs to be made into a show, I was hesitant. I searched Hoopla and found A Noble Masquerade audiobook. That’s an automatic, I’ll try it.

I was swept off my feet! The book starts off with a very relatable Miranda dealing with not being married and her sister coming into society. She finds solace in her situation by writing letters to her brother’s best schoolmate. Of course, she never plans on mailing those letters since she never officially met the man.

Then, there’s Marlow, her brother’s handsome new valet. Marlow tells his own story where he’s completing his last spy mission at his best schoolmate’s house. During his spy work, he discovers personal letters written to him from Miranda. Once he gets over the shock, he decides to have a little fun.

You guys this is where us as the reader has fun. Kristi pulls us through regency society, intrigue, awkward situations, and a masquerade. I love how she mingles faith into the lessons Miranda and Marlow learn. There were some parts that felt modern to me, but the fun story made up for the any of the flaws.

I highly recommend this book and had a hard time putting it down. I don’t want to give you any spoilers. Now, I’m going to finish read the rest the Kristi Ann Hunter’s four-book series. You’ll find me washing dishes and folding clothes with my headset on.

Let me know if you read the book. I’d love to hear your thoughts.
