I am Not Motivated for Motivation Monday.

It’s Motivation Monday and I am not motivated.

I don’t know about you, but these last few months have zapped my inspiration and motivation.

2020 has been rough! I’ve had my own personal and emotional issues to deal with while dealing with the COVID 19 pandemic.

I knew I had to write a motivational blog post, so I prayed for inspiration. That led me to reach out to my Facebook and Instagram buddies and find out what motivates them during the hard times.

They did not let me down and I am happy to share their great input with all of you.

“Actively practicing thankfulness and exercising my creativity.”

“The face of my one-year-old grandson. I see in him the face of a future that is better than the present; the face of innocence and fairness.”

“Being thankful to God for life and the health of my family and friends.”

“My family, my garden, church on Zoom.”

“Knowing that God promises a brighter day ahead.”

“This too will pass. God gives us peace.”

“Knowing my Lord and Savior is with me at all times.”

“God is still in control. Find ways to bless those around you.”

“Prayer walking.”

“Reading the Bible and Praying.”

Who says you can’t find wisdom on social media? When a person has wonderful Christian friends they will always find truth and reassurance.

Now for the less spiritual but equally important responses.

“Coffee and snacks.” (Yes, Yes, Yes!)

“Reading and taking long walks every day.”

“I try to accomplish one big thing before the afternoon is over.”

“I try to keep my thoughts positive and even though I have to stay indoors I try to do a bit of something each day.”

“Music.”

“Smile at everyone you see. Let your light shine. Stay busy with hobbies.”

“Send personal, handmade cards to encourage others.”

“Family, friends and pets.” (This one is from my cousin who has a lot of pets!)

And last but not least. Actually, this is my favorite.

“I have different colored masks. I have a color to match each outfit.”

I love this and I am going to run with this idea. If we have to wear masks we might as well be stylish and unique.

During these strange months, I have been making memes. It encourages me to make them and I hope it encourages the people who see them.

Thanks to my friends, I now have motivation to get through another day, week, or month.

I hope we have motivated you! I’d love to hear what you’re doing to stay inspired.

  • I love these ideas! During quarantine, I sewed face masks for care givers at an assisted living facility. When I went to drop them off, a therapist that works at several facilities stopped me and asked if she could buy some for her traveling staff. I told her they were free and she was welcome to have as many as she needed. She teared up and thanked me over and over. Giving blessed me! We can all do something little to help those in need, and in turn, we are blessed.
