It’s ‘Hello’ Not ‘Goodbye’!

Hey Yall! Figured it was a good time to reintroduce myself.

I’m Julia, a quirky former homeschooler with delusions of grandeur. Okay, strike that, a wacky former homeschooler with crippling imposter syndrome! There, that’s more like it.

I’m a Lord-of-the-Rings-loving, The-Chronicles-of-Narnia-quoting, ADHD brained, dyslexic-audiobook-and-regular-book-consuming old soul with a handful of granny hobbies I refuse to give up. (Like antiquing, don’t come between me and cool old  stuff!)

Some call me a ‘young author’ but I certainly don’t feel like it; thirty is closer than twenty at this point! And well, thirty is when the check engine light comes on, right?

I love to write high fantasy stories and some romantasy stories (just not tooooo cheesy and definitely not spicy). My current book, which I am working on getting published, has been a multi-time finalist (shows off pins in a shameless self plug) and a winner in Christian writing contests.

I’m working hard to catch the eye of an agent and/or publisher who can take this book to new heights, because frankly, I’m a writer, not a marketer. I will entertain you with silly reels on Instagram and TikTok, though!

Can’t be goofy all the time. Life is serious with things like anxiety, infertility, depression, self-doubt, low self-worth, and fear, all of which are all things we need to talk about. As humans, we do this thing where we think we are the only ones on the planet with this nasty problem, when in reality, the enemy uses a lot of the same tools to beat us over the head.

Last but not least, which I probably should have shared first because it’s the most important. I’m a Jesus girl because, well, without him I wouldn’t be here. He is my solid rock and makes me a better person. With him I can be me, not a fake plastic perfectionist who fears being left out. (still working on that last bit)
