The Storyteller Squad

Welcome to November at the Storyteller Squad

It’s National Novel Writing Month so many of us at the squad are furiously writing and focusing on goals.

Everyone participating in the Nanowrimo event has a goal to write 50,000 words this month!

Goals can make the difference between always having a dream and achieving that dream. When writing, it’s important to just get the first draft done. Many times, we aim for perfection instead of just finishing the first step. For writing, it’s getting the first draft done (especially for pantsers).

What are your goals this November?

I’m so excited for a line up this month! Here’s some fun material we’re whipping together just for you below.

Give Yourself Deadlines

Book reviews on two books by Sharon Creech, Ruby Holler and Moo

Monday inspiration: Life-giving Words

A book review for A Night Divided by Jennifer A Nielsen

Writing tips from Caroline Barney, author of The Trebors

A book review “The Door,” the slightly scary first book in the Seventh Dimension series

Motivational reaction units

Writing tips from  Patricia Bradley, multi-published romantic suspense author

Which post do you most look forward to reading?

Happy November!
