The Storyteller Squad

October Spotlight

I’m so excited I get to shine the spotlight on one of my favorite months! We have officially transitioned to a new season. I love the fall. Living in New England, I have a front-row seat as the leaves on the trees turn beautiful, vibrant colors of red, gold, orange, and even deep purple.

We’ve got some great stuff coming up this month on The Storyteller Squad that you won’t want to miss! To start our weeks off on a good note, Julane will be discussing when we find ourselves, “In the Midst of a Storm.” Kristen will lead her week off with fighting distractions to improve your creativity, and I must say, in my season of life, I’m looking forward to that one! Burt will also give us a great word of encouragement—he’s busy creating it right now!

For those mid-week blahs, where we are already feeling drained and losing our mojo, Candice is going to discuss perseverance, even when you feel like a writing failure. Jill will show us how to start our writing time off by consecrating our time with God (SO important), and Gretchen will launch into developing characters with goals, motivation, and conflicts. I will finish off the month with what happens when your writing genre changes.

Aah, we come to the end of the week. Ready to settle onto the couch with a good book and a nice hot cup of tea (wait, that’s me!). Sharon will review The Paper Girl of Paris by Jordyn Taylor, and Michelle W will be reviewing Dark Blue by Melody Carlson. Michelle M will introduce us to one of her favorite non-fiction must-reads!

Wow, have we got a full month! As you spend time reading and writing, remember to take time for yourself outside to enjoy the beautiful display, listening for the Creator to speak to you. And, as always, we look forward to connecting with you here!
