Is anyone else relieved that winter is over? I know some of you are weird and like winter, but with the quarantine, the world was starting to feel endlessly dead. I love going outside and walking and not being stuck in my one-bedroom basement apartment alone. Hallelujah, praise the Lord Almighty, it’s May!!
Which also means we have a new line-up of blogs for you, our dear readers! Here’s what you can look forward to this month.
May 4: Michelle Welsh is laying down all the benefit and fun of reading for kids and for families. She includes some great plans of action, so keep an eye out for that!
May 6: Tracy Popolizio (a cool last name, isn’t it?) is sharing some tips on how to find ideas while in quarantine. Thank goodness.
May 8: Tori Kimble will review her book of choice. This one reads a lot, so I’m sure it’ll be good.
May 11: Burton Cole will dazzle us with his wit and probably motivate us to finish great things that we started as far back as the 90’s.
May 13: Sharon Dick is sharing her experience about common fiction writing mistakes and how to avoid them.
May 15: Jill Willis is reviewing Keturah and Lord Death, by Martine Leavett. I’ll be honest, after reading the title of the book she submitted, I had to dig it up and read it. It didn’t disappoint and I can’t wait to read her thoughts on it!
May 18: Julane Fisher is going to motivate us with talk about endurance. So hold on until we get there!
May 20: Guest writer, Michael Carroll, is sharing a piece of wisdom on the process of giving your story a goal. It’s something we all need while writing. Otherwise, you’re stuck like me, dragging your character all over your created world without a care… and boring readers along the way.
May 22: Kristen is going to give us a peek at the duology of Unwritten and Rewritten by Tara Gilboy. These are fun books where characters come to life and try to change their own stories apart from their author’s plan (like Stranger Than Fiction). I know that we writers sometimes find our characters doing stuff we never dreamed, but I’d be freaked to meet my characters in person, wouldn’t you?
May 25: Gretchen Carlson will motivate us, probably by dropping wisdom bombs that shake our world a little. She’s like that.
May 27: Michelle Welsh is giving us time management tips she’s engineered in order to continue moving herself forward and seeing progression her writing.
May 29: I, Michelle McCorkle, will review one of the many fantasy fiction novels I stumble upon this month. Right now, it’s looking like Jill Crisswell’s Beasts of the Frozen Sun. Don’t tell me how it ends. I’ve only just started it.
I am also very happy it’s May. March and April have been rough. Sounds like we have a great lineup ahead.
Can’t wait!! Looks like some awesome posts coming out way 🙂
These are great ideas! I especially like the one about what to do in quarantine! 😂
