Did you have a great Thanksgiving? I hope so. I know you probably have a turkey hangover and maybe some Black Friday shopping to get to, so I’ll make this blog quick.
Do you know someone who loves the The Who Was books that take historical figures and explores their lives with humor and fun illustrations? I know you’ve been thinking, “Why can’t we have some of those books for Christian historical figures or events from a Christian perspective?”
I’m so glad you were thinking that because I wanted to let you know that there IS a series like that, and I can’t wait to give my daughters a few of them for Christmas.
Check out the Who What Why series, by Danika Cooley. In these fun books for kids (rated as a Read to Me age of 6-8 and a Read to Myself age of 9-11) you’ll discover who Martin Luther was and why did the reformation happen, what is the Gutenberg Bible, the Underground Railroad, and why did slavery end, all with fun illustrations and an engaging writing style.
Danika Cooley is someone you should get to know anyway. She has fantastic resources to teach your children or grandchildren the Bible and Christian history. Her newsletter is also full of fantastic information for parents, and lots of homeschooling resources as well.
I hope you have a wonderful start to your holiday season.
Happy reading!
